To celebrate the release of Drive, starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan, finally hitting UK cinema screens today, WhatCulture.com thought it would be the perfect time to run down the 10 Greatest Cinematic Car Chases!

#9. Unknown (2011)
This Hitchcockian style thriller is an absorbing watch that features a dramatic and suspenseful chase sequence in the middle of the narrative. Liam Neeson and Diane Kruger have been thrown together through an earlier car crash and here they escape Kruger’s flat with an assassin in hot pursuit. With Neeson behind the wheel of the car – a man who’s identity is being denied by his own wife – the scene is relatively realistic, as he attempts to dodge the hired killer and his VW SUV in a Mercedes taxi. As the assassin dodges and weaves through traffic, Neeson is forced to drive like he’s never driven before, as his everyman character has to take on heroic and super-skilled driving abilities.

The Pascal Chaumeil directed film, Fly Me to the Moon has officially begun filming! The movie stars Diane alongside Dany Boon and Etienne Chicot and has an expected release for late 2012.

Diane Kruger wants to have children with her boyfriend Joshua Jackson. The 35-year-old actress/model doesn’t want to marry the 33-year-old actor because of the bad experience she had with her ex-husband Guillaume Canet but she is keen to start a family with Joshua.

She said: “I’m over marriage. No marriage for me. But I definitely want to have kids. I have three goddaughters — I’m not sure why they trust me, because I have no experience with children — but I try. One of my goddaughters is in London and Josh and I love London. When we go, I take her to the park, the zoo and [the toy shop] Hamleys.”

Diane and Joshua recently celebrated their fifth anniversary by going to Paris, France, for a romantic break.

The Inglourious Basterds star believes the secret to their successful relationship is that they give each other the space they need for their careers but also make sure they dedicate time to each other.

In an interview with the October issue of InStyle magazine, she said: “Life is more important than work. We just celebrated our fifth anniversary. We met up in Paris, gave each other gifts and went to dinner — it was just lovely being together.

“It’s hard sustaining relationships at a distance, but if you want to be together it comes down to that … We have the three week rule — we have to see each other, otherwise you drift. But we also enjoy our independence. We have our own lives and have a lot to bring back into the relationship because of that. I’m very independent. I’m not sure how I’d deal with someone who wanted to be with me 24/7.”

Diane Kruger looked stunning at the 10th Annual InStyle Summer Soir and HollywoodLife.com just could not get over her ultra-chic updo! Speaking with L’Oréal Paris Consulting Hair Expert, Johnny Lavoy, who told them how to get her bun!

- First, prep the hair with a texturing product (like L’Oréal Paris Studio Line Out of Bed Texturizer). Apply product to dry hair, as this is important to give the hair that piecey look and hold.

- Use a medium-sized curling iron to create some face-framing curls.

- Using your fingers, work the hair into a low side ponytail. If you have shorter layers you can twist the shorter strands and pin then into place.

- Twist the ponytail tightly until it starts to coil into the bun and use hairpins to keep into place. Finish the look with a workable hair spray.

Follow these steps HollywoodLifers and tell me if you like your braided bun look!

"The reason I stopped modeling was because I was not pleased with trying to portray something that is impossible to reach. Even when I do photo shoots now for films, I am just not interested in trying to look my best all the time anymore. That pursuit of an impossible perfection seems ridiculous to me now. I would rather show my vulnerabilities or my doubts than try to be something that no one is."
